i remember game as an afternoon game, lsu big underdog....lsu good defense not much offense..
was exciting game because of close score...

lsu had lost confidence in 75 and carried over
in 76 ...offense lacked scoring...

game was nothing compared to ole miss games
in early 70's or notre dame ...usc..

the lsu teams in early 70's were good enough
that with a little luck they could have been in a
national champion game...by 1976 things were
not the same

I was there....I was a freshman and it was my first game as a student...I got drunk on schnapps...the fourth quarter was exquisite....the big Neb guys were exhausted and we had a drive at the very end...Terry Robiskie was a superman and just barely missed a fg that would have won the game....those were the days when pledges had to reserve seats for active frat members...sweet memories

The '76 LSU-Nebraska game in TS was a night game. For those thinking it was an afternoon game my only guess is that DST had not reverted back by the standard 7:30PM KO such that there was some daylight lingering at the start of the game.

Thanks for all the comments.
