Prob heading there in the morning. Any tricks I should know? Can you bring in a small ice chest for gatorades or water? I doubt it but worth an ask.

Parking cost anything?

Thanks

I went this morning. They confisgated my powerade on the way in because they were selling drinks for $2. I parked across the street at the Winn Dixie so that was free.

I went last year and I was trying to get a autograph from Drew but he was on the other end signing. So I went to that end thinking he was gonne be there signing and he went to the other end. They only signed autographs this morning for about 10 minutes. They signed for a lot longer last year. Hartley and Chase signed my game day ball.

Not worried about autographs just details like parking and such. Thanks for the info.

I used to go to Jackson every year but never been to Metairie.

I imagine they get their fair share of professional autograph seekers.

Get down on those bleachers on the blacktop when they do goaline work. The violent sounds of those helmets/pads popping will make you JIMP.

ETA- They're allowed to hit now, right?

I had my purse this morning and no one stopped me and asked to see what was inside--water, sunscreen, etc.

Saw others with very small almost like lunch box coolers get in but I wouldn't advise bringing anything too large.

Enjoy the first day of practice with pads! And make sure you get a roster at the door as 75% of the guys dressed are newbies with the likes of Moore, Bushrod, Shanle, Harper, Torrence, Sproles, etc standing in street clothes on the sidelines.

This is why I am waiting till everyone's in pads next weeks end.

That's a good idea NS. Bring your purse in. Problem solved.

No. I mean every player in pads practicing. I don't want to watch lance, Harper, sproles, etc watch from the sidelines. Everyone will be active next Friday.

I'm planning to hit the scrimmage Saturday while I'm in town. I've never been to one so I have no idea what kind of crowd to expect.

The lot at Winn Dixie across the street is a much shorter walk to the gate than the facility parking.

My friend brought a lunch box-size ice chest full of water bottles and nobody stopped him. I would advise against anything you can't carry.

Sunscreen, sun glasses and a hat are all advisable. It's not only hot as hell, but unbelievably bright -- especially with the bleachers reflecting the sun.

They autographed for 10-15 minutes after practice on Friday, but the crowd was too big for my taste. I'd love to get an autograph, but it's not all that important to me.
