Did not know that LSU was chasing him, but would be a great pickup

LINK

Discusses his relationship w/ Coach Gonzalez at LSU & names his other top schools ('Bama, Mich, Miami, OSU, Cincy & UNC)... OSU was his favorite but the NCAA issues lowered his interest... His OVs will be to schools farther away & distance won't be an issue...

Also just named to the Army AA game and is team mates with Adolphus Washington. At one time OSU was the school to beat but quickly started looking around because of the NCAA mess. Still could end up there but seems to be wide open now.

Slow down boys.

quote:

Dwayne says LSU, Alabama, and Miami are pushing hard and climbing his list. He says tOSU could be called a favorite but he has to keep them lower on the list until the NCAA is done.

We don't get hammered (which I don't see happening) y'all fall off the radar.

You are an idiot if you don't think Ohio State gets hammered. Even if they avoid tough sanctions, it would be too late to affect Stanford.

I think Stanford comes here but not sure if he is able to sway Aldolphus our way

Firing the coach goes a long way. I think they'll get way less than what USCw got. Some scholarship reductions and vacating wins (complete BS) but possibly no TV or bowl ban. And that's all recruits care about

I don't know why or how it is happening but with the NCAA stating there was no lack of institutional control on the part of Ohio St, I don't believe the sanctions impossed upon them will be anywhere near as bad as they should be. The NCAA is full of crap also for saying they looked and couldn't find anything else and it was all Tressel.

This is about what I think will happen. Right now it's Tressel lying and the Tat5. If anyone thinks USC type sanctions are coming because of this they're on crack.

Out of curiosity do you know what Ohio State is facing sanctions for or are you laughing out of your arse because you've believed everything you've read since March and are presuming that everything you read is true? Because if you are then you're a fool.

Unless the NCAA comes up with something new on August 12th to add to the docket (which it doesn't look like per the no LOIC statement) then you are going to be sorely disappointed when the sanctions come out and it's a few scholarships and vacating last season which has already happened. Probably not even a one year bowl ban.

I agree, I think they let OState skate. I think there is a slim chance it could be bad, but not much of one, the way its trending. On paper its much worse that LSU's problem with Hicks, cause he never played a down, but its all in the way its interpreted, with the recent climate, too.

Nothing would surprise us regarding sanctions and the Big 10. We all know that Michigan bank rolled the fab 5. What punishment did they get? Compared to Lester Earl falsely accusing LSU?

I disagree. You didn't self report, your coach lied, your players received extra benefits(though that part is stupid) are all things the NCAA will look at. That shows little to no cooperation at the start.

LSU would have been in the same boat had we not self reported it two years ago. Look at what your school did, now look at what we did.... Compliance(before you are in a corner) looks better to the NCAA. I think OSU gets slapped with LIC

I agree with everything you've said Memphis, but there's just this feeling I have that they'll just git a wrist-slap. The recent climate is the thing that might get them in the end, if the NCAA wants to send a strong message.
