He always defended it last year as well which I never got. You can admit it was bad, it's a lot more comforting to see you recognize a problem then to pretend like it's not there. We did't change OC because we liked our offense.

This coach will not throw anybody on his team under the bus. I respect that, particularly considering he made moves to correct the failures during the offseason.
