I'd hit Cajun Cafe in Lake Charles instead of Steamboat Bill's. It is more plate lunches though as opposed to deep fried everything.

Cajun Cafe also very solid just not where I would go for seafood. Also Luna's on Ryan St has very good sandwiches and beer with good variety of both.
