I get the feeling that Astros fans greatly overvalue Hunter Pence. He isn't worth a top 5 prospect. If that's what they want for him, then they must really want to hang on to him because no one is going to give them anything close to that.

and what's the point in the Astros trading Pence for a guy that is just going to be an average major leaguer ?

For a World Series contender, it is actually worth it. IMO, Pence is the missing piece to the puzzle. I made a compelling argument one night, but some Braves fans rejected it saying that Bourn would be better for the team.
