My best friend's brother got married in Malibu, CA (his brother lives out there) in the afternoon of the VaTech game.
He wantd me to text him updates as he stood there as a groomsmen. We both still had Motorola Razor's back then.
Dude was p!ssed off at me at first. He thought I was screwing with him when I kept texting:
7-0 LSU
14-0 LSU
17-0 LSU
24-0 LSU
Then they got out of the wedding, and he checked the score, and freaked...I still laugh about that. Must've been crazy seeing those updates coming across and literally thinking people were effing with you.
