Dude saw what Todd Graves was doing and is probably kicking himself for not doing it sooner.

Cane's started off of Highland Road right off campus in 1996 and he has already eclipsed 100 franchises.

Again, as has been mentioned I don't think the Guthries founder ever had any ambitions to be the biggest chain around like Todd Graves did. You don't need but a handful of successful fast food locations to rake in some serious cash.

I don't think it's a matter of Graves/Canes being any better than Guthries as much as it is Canes being more aggressive/ambitious about expansion. Frankly, the Guthries and Canes are basically identical quality wise. I noticed VERY little difference between the two. Both are decent for what they are. I prefer both over Zaxbys though.
