Michael Brooks. Those that say he wasn't the best likely never saw him play.

Tommy Casonova Safety. The younger folks here don't really know just how good he was. His football instincts were off the chart.

Bevan and Bradie James were close, but I tend to agree. LSU has had a good number of great LBers and a whole host of good ones. Michael Brooks was the very best. He was "Derrick Thomas" (RIP) good, which is my standard for NCAA linebacking.
DT is the only Bama player I was, am or ever will be a fan of.
