if you are in Orange Beach, just cross the pass and traverse Perdido Key. When leaving the island on the FL side there will be a Publix on your left and a Winn-Dixie a half mile ahead.
I don't remember Alabama having the best selection, then again my dad lives in Perdido on the FL side so that's where I buy my beer.

Do those have good selections?
I could definitely make a trip right across the border, I just didn't know if there is anywhere with a good selection.

Publix has a decent selection.

I had the same problem down there several weeks ago. I ended up at Richie's in Pensacola. The beer selection there was excellent. Alabama did pass its high gravity law, but some manufacturers haven't added us to the distribution list yet (i.e. Stone and Dogfish). They've been servicing Florida. Someone could make a lot of money if that liquor store across from the FlorBama would add good beers to their inventory.....

I'm positive Sweetwater was there a few weeks ago when I was visiting because I bought some (Publix).

How long has the Publix been there?

Neither one of these had what I wanted. I kept driving to Richie's in Pensacola.

A little over a year. It went up quickly.

According to Dogfish Head and Victory's websites, the Publix in Perdido Key carries both. Looks like I'll head that way.

NO.
Go across the street to the Pig. I am telling you it has the best selection of anyone down there. I knew the area manager for Gulf Distributing for that area and know for a fact that it has more than Winn Dixie, Walmart, and Publix combined. (or close to it)

and Anheuser-Busch, but that is a whole other thread.

Brunos seems to have the best beer selection of any grocery stores in Alabama. The Brunos near me in Mobile has nearly every beer mentioned in this thread. The problem is that the Brunos in Orange Beach (next to Francos Italian restaurant) closed a couple of years ago.

Brunos 310 (the one on University) has always been a good store. It is/was where the "big wigs" hang out and shop so it is always kept up nice. (Fresh Market and Publix are the other's) The pig in Foley (Cain's) gives them all a run for their money and beats most when it comes the crafts though.

That's the one near me and you're right. Brunos is a smaller chain but has always had really nice stores. The beer and particular the wine (with the Vincent's Market sections) selection has always been better there than say Winn Dixie. It's the next best thing to Publix imho.
