I think Bill Walsh should be number one. But I only remember him winning 3 Super bowls( 3 for 3). I am getting older, maybe my memory is playing tricks on me.

Walsh was a pro coach for 11 years before coaching in college for 2 prior to returning to the pros.

I'm not sure that I would call him a "college coach".

I mean, crap, he brought about the "West Coast Offense" BEFORE he went to Stanford...
