I was reluctant to post a pic of mine cause I haven't used it in over 5 years and it needs new doors but what the hell.
Oh, and I know it's on the other end of the spectrum as I tend to overkill when I do things but it's because I always look for salvage value. I ask myself how can I build "it" so if I ever, for example, quit raising chickens, can use it for other things.
We ended up raising 4-H Show Goats and I used that structure to bring them up close to check throughout night when we were kidding.
In the bottom pic you can see the hatch I could open if I wanted to let them out for even more range. To the right I had a couple of 2X4's they would roost on and a ladder for them to walk up to lay even though they could get up without it most used it.
