I've seen those -- glanced at the package and it said Product of China right on the front above the Net Wt info. Got to look at those close, cuz finding LA tails for $5 is extremely rare. $10 seems to be a good price this year.

The price is usually a tip-off that it's Chinese, but I can see how the OP might not have suspected it being non-LA crawfish. The new Albertson's in Denham has been running some really good sales since they opened a few weeks ago, trying to lure customers in.
