You'll pretty much never find LA crawfish for under $7 a pack. That should be your sign right there. I think the cheapest I've ever see LA crawfish was around $8.50, and that was on special. I usually expect to spend $10 a pound when buying crawfish.

FWIW, I am all for a sustainable LA, and think everyone should move toward buying the best food for your body, and not necessarily your wallet.
