i agree. but they are both in that "second tier" of great players. i think a lot of that is because they didnt win a ring.

i dont think any reasonable list of all time great QBs (or football players for that matter) exists without marino near the top.

jim kelly = malone and barkley. malone was probably a better basketball player than kelly was a football player though.
