As of right now, the second game will not be televised as ESPN has so far refused to grant a waiver. It is likely the Red Sox and Tigers are trying to get that reversed. We'll let you know if it changes.

Why should they grant a waiver? They negotiated an exclusive broadcasting window on Sunday nights. They definitely won't be agreeing to a waiver if one of the teams is the Red Sox.

I'm not saying to have it bumped onto ESPN. Why can't those fans be allowed to watch it?

Why if u can stop a rival network from showing the game would u let them air it?
Mccdonalds you have the chance to keep burger king closed from 7 to 10. Will u let them open?

I didn't know NESN was considered a rival to ESPN.

They've granted it in the past. A few years ago I remember the Rangers and Mariners I believe played a Sunday doubleheader and the night game was on FSN SW and FSN NW.
