There are some obvious questions in this fantastic movie classic such as:

Why did Smalls use the Babe Ruth ball instead of the one that he and his stepfather had played catch with?

How did Smalls black eye go away by the next day?

How about this though and maybe some older generation guys can help out.

Why in the world didnt any of these kids play Little League baseball? Say the movie takes place in 1962, I started Little League in 1966. EVERY kid especially in that type of suburb type neiborhood played little league. No way solid ball players like them wouldnt have been part of a team.

I thought those stuck up kids they play and beat ("you play ball like a girl!) were in little league. Or was that just another neighborhood team with unis? My guess is they didn't wan't to be apart that crap and just play each other.

Maybe their parents couldn't afford to put them in the league and bring them to and fro for all the games because they were working all the time.

They were all friends. They did everything together, so I find it normal that they wanted to forgo organized baseball in order to be teammates with the rest of their best friends.

The one that he and his STEP dad used was in the back of the car and step daddy was gone to work.

Wasn't this part of the point of the movie? They were all great friends and they played for the love of the game?

How did Beast go from being the size of a monster truck when it snagged the ball out of the air when they tried the erector set to a regular sized dog?

Seems like a couple hours before the erector set attempt, Hercules got attacked by a swarm od wasps. So his face was all swole up. If my memory serves me right.

My friends and I all played Little League (literally every kid did) and most of us were on different teams. All the ball fields, most were at local elementary school were easily within bike riding distance.

We would play sandlot ball though all summer long as well. It was like 2 different things. You hung with your buddies during the day but also played on a team.

Trust me, these kids would have played.

I'm pretty sure I heard it on this board before but it is worth mentioning again. That movie is unrealistic because Babe Ruth didn't play with any black people
