All Baylor cares about is winning. Nothing more. They want to act holier than now, but look no further than their basketball coach and how he dealt with his best player last year to realize that morals are thrown out the window in place of winning. Place is a joke.
And I don't care what anyone says- money talks!! Not to mention, anyone not think Sneed wouldn't jump at the idea of coming back to LSU, even as an assistant??

Not necessarily IMO. She was recruited by Moore to LSU so they've got a long relationship. Her husband used to be a Baylor assistant and is a Baylor grad. I don't think it's a lock she comes to BR unless she gets the HC job which she probably won't get.

I will fight tooth in nail to justify the women's basketball coach even though the sport is destined to lose money because it is actually a financially smart decision. But softball, they should not overpay at all. The should actually pay close to nothing.

How so? Not trying to be a smart arse... just curious as to your reasoning.

I see what you're saying but breaking the bank in softball is paying 150 K as opposed to 110-125 K range. Of all the candidates I've heard discussed I don't think they'll any of them will be around 150 K.

This isn't directed at you, but many on this board just can't wrap their little heads around this but here goes:
Women's basketball will inevitably lose money. However, they don't have to lose as much as we did last year. So last year we lost in the area of 2.3 million paying a coach around 700k or something.
Even though we may have overpaid for a women's coach, even paying her 700-900k can be outweighed if we are as successful as we were during Pokey's tenure, and we place more asses in the seats. She seems already well on her way to doing that.
So yeah, we paid more, but we can actually lose a lot less. Had we hired some nobody that was a total uncertainty for 300k, we still lose over 2 million dollars. We don't have to lose that much.

Ever hear of Whitman who coached at Louisiana College in Pineville? When he was coaching high school he won multiple state championships. Then he started LC's softball program and immediately they were contenders and won Christian school national championship within a few years. They moved up in classification and were constantly ranked in top 5. He is nothing but a winner. I think if he applies he would be excellent for LSU.

Success at Pineville High and LC doesn't necessarily equate to success in the SEC. LSU has fallen behind Bama, Florida, UGA, and Tennessee. They need a coach who will right the ship ASAP.

Let's pray it's not that handsome woman from ULL, anyone have a pic of her...quite intense
Why would she leave UL? They totally dominate their conference, have a new stadium in the works, have an easy commute to work, gets paid well i'm sure, will play LSU whenever she wants(read, doesn't need to play LSU, plays better competition) plus she doesn't have to live in BR or the surrounding area. Sounds like a no brainer to me

It's a shame that you pull for such a meaningless university. Your fanhood really is wasted, I just hope you know that.

Its a shame from you're reply that you apparently have no life. If you have nothing better to do than to state you're claim to fame is putting down a university, well...what more can be said. But i'll play along for kicks...Meaningless...how?

I think the coach that is coming here, his or her team is still playing in NCAA's or I think they would have already named the coach.
Probably not since our season and any team who's made the postseason's season has only been over for 4-5 days.

Alyson Habetz. Great recruiter also.

I've always felt that the Arizona softball player that everyone gushes over was mediocre at best in the looks department. OT 4/5.
Can't believe this stupidity has been overlooked by so many people... This may be one of the worst statements I've ever read

Don't know if he's taking about Jennie Finch or Taryne Mowatt but I agree with him they're both overrated by most, I wouldn't rate them as low as a 4/5 though. Adrienne Acton played for Zona and she much hotter than both of them.
