I like the current uniforms to be honest. But i can promise you, the consensus for purple helmets with purple jerseys on purple pants with purple socks is going to be very, very negative.

You are just against something different. Everyone thought Oregon's were bad now everyone thinks they are great.
I didn't say permanent, but it could be done to look awsome witht he correct yellow/gold color and in the right places.

I agree black on LSU's uniforms would look stupid. But
Put blue socks on Boise and tell me how stupid it looks. Now imagine it being in all purple. I know i'm right, it would look terrible.
Now do the same with this:
