Bush regrets tweets; open to pay cut

Reggie Bush says he would prefer to remain with the New Orleans Saints until he retires.
"First and foremost, I want to be a Saint," Bush told The Times-Picayune on Saturday.
Bush says he expects to take part in some of those workouts, albeit "sparingly." He also says that he regrets several recent Twitter posts that may have left the impression he no longer sees himself as part of the Saints' future.
"I wasn't frustrated. I said something that was taken the wrong way," Bush told the newspaper. "(Saints rookie running back Mark Ingram) and I can definitely help each other."
Bush says he is willing to take a pay cut to stay in New Orleans, but says that will require negotiations between the club and his agent when the lockout ends.

How in the hell does "it's been fun New Orleans" get taken the wrong way

Sounds like Reggie's agent gave him some advice & now he's attempting perform some damage control control.

That's my guess. He and his agent can later say, hey we tried to work it out with the Saints, were even willing to take a cut, but we couldn't get it done. RB doesn't want to get a rep as a malcontent if he's looking for a new team.

His tweets about the lockout were definitely taken the wrong way.

I got a great idea for a new deal. He gets 2 million and then an extra million for every diving touchdown.

Reggie & Ingram have the same agent, who will be fighting to get each of them a better deal than the other.
How is that not a conflict of interest?
I understand agents can't exclusively represent one player, but I can't see how he can be unbias representing two people fighting for the same thing ($$$).

Time for us to get rid of Bush. We can do better with less!

stop flaming, Reggie is going to be in NOLA for a while

I just like the guy. He like other Saints now have the winning mantra that we never had here in New Orleans. We have tried to import that through different players in the past with little success. Our Coach SP and GW along with Breesus gives Reggie the desire to remain a Saint and go for another ring.

God I love the sound of that. It's still strange to me.

This shite has gotten unnecessarly out of hand. Maybe the "It's been fun New Orleans" tweet was worth the discussion, but if you read the tweets about the lockout and thought he was being serious you should punch yourself in the face. It's hard for me to believe that there are people out here that took that seriously. It's just retarded.
