My dad & brother have a camp I guess northeast of Simmesport, I was told about 200 yards from the Red River. They went last weekend and took everything out ... doors and all. EVYERTHING that could be removed.

My question is that every time a "potential flood map" is shown water is never shown in this area of their camp. ???? The only thing that we can figure is that they're showing ONLY Mississippi River flood water and where it's diverted too.

Is there anyone here from this area?

Oh, and the camp DID flood in 1973 ... up to the bottom of the electric outlets from what I'm told.

Thanks for the directions. I'm 45 minutes from there and very familiar with that area.

Nah, seriously, it will flood there. My brother-in-laws camp is near that area.

In our area of the parish, i dont think the water will get to 73 levels. Possibly within aabout 3-4 ft, but i think we will be less in our area.
