This was referenced in the Advocate this morning. They come out after half and the first play is a 60 yard bomb to a wide open receiver. Do you think the coaches did this just to make the fans happy? Or was it a legit play by Mett and Boone?

Comment that I was talking about:
quote:

with a 60-yard touchdown bomb to open the second half that found Kadron Boone for the Purple team’s only score (though it looked a bit scripted)

*No search function on TD mobile so excuse me if this has been brought up already.*

If Miles was going to script a TD, it would have been for JJ.

Why would Les want to create more of a QB controversy than he will already have?

Do you really think that Les Miles and Co. are scripting TD plays for certain players to please the fans? That is just obnoxious.

And JJ would have underthrown it.

DOubt it. Les was pissed that krag called that. Bitched about only throwing outs and slants...then he lets jeff air it out. Les doesnt want controversy...oh well

Yeah I heard the kickoffs and running plays were all scripted too. They brought in hollywood's best and paid them 100,000 dollars.

Boone is one of our fastest receivers and he beat the corner easily. Les let Mett air it out wuth the wind at his back

Didn't say I believed it was, I was just referring to this comment in the paper this morning:
quote:

Was just wondering if it looked that way to anyone else.

Tell the Advocate to go back to whining about Bobby Jindal and quit trying to get smart with the sports analysis.

No he didn't. You can hear him after the touchdown telling Krags he wants them to run the ball and throw slants.

This is a pretty lame question, but anyway...

No. It was good quick recognition of a WR slipping right past a completely overmatched CB, and a good throw to boot.

Yep, heard that too. Krags better get used to the Miles' handcuffs.

In a spring game with a new OC. . .when we face a huge BCS opponent in game 1?

yeah, he was expecting to open the playbook. . .

I know I'm coming out of left field with this one, but I'd be willing to bet he (the head corch) actually just wanted to work on things more likely to happen in real game situations. Call me crazy...but I thought that's what practice and scrimmage games were about.

Nah. I think they just caught them off guard coming off the half.
