I think the big stat is that of the 4 games out of 13 you could reasonably argue he played well or in some cases very well 3 of them he had two weeks or more to prepare. UNC,Alabama and Texas A&M. The one game he had that he played well with only one week to prepare was Ole Miss. That leaves 9 games he peformed below average or in most cases horrid.

I dont think nor do I think the overwhelming majority believe LSU can have the kind of season that the overall talent indicates they can have with a qb who performs below average or worse in 9 or more games during the season.

JJ has been given more opportunities to play when his performance dictated he should be on the bench than any LSU qb that I can remember.

When you throw in the scowling and pouting on the sideline when his backup is in the game and makes big plays along with his horrible clock management in the UT game last year and Ole Miss game in 09 most do not feel or want to watch him flail around for a third year.

Or do you guys (Lonnie and Uncommon Cents) think we should sit on our hands or applaud poor performance and accept it? Again if that is the case did you guys want Curley Hallman to be retained?

Why have we had other players who did not perform in games get replaced but JJ has started despite his repeated poor performances? Again I am not speaking subjectively you can objectively look at his statistics and qb rating and see he is substansially below an average qb.

Young Basher, what is your fixation with Curley? That generally isn't a good sign. You are splitting your Bashing effort. You need to keep posting only Jefferson Bashes if you want to move up in th Basher Brigade. You have made a good start by posting several times in the same thread and by posting stuff people have already posted. Redundancy is goood. It is one of the leading traits of a Basher. Keeping on posting those same things. Those are admirable Basher activities and I bow to you for doing them.

You are wise to point out the times that Jefferson didn't live up to your personal expectations and the times that he wounded you personally with his efforts. Those are good.

You are making remarkable progress in Basherism. Yet you still have much to learn. Singling out your displeaseure with his facial expressions is a valid reason for Bashing him, Indeed it is a major factor for many. LSU can't have a player whose facial expression offends the fans. I'm not saying that facial expressions and the fans approval of them isn't a critical factor in detrining the worth of a QB. Actually it is very important. Every QB worth his salt needs to learn the proper facial expression. Fans aren't going to accept a QB with the wrong look on his face. Pleasing fans with the proper demeanor may well be the most important component in the evaluation of a QB.

The only problem I have is that you are diluting your Basher thrust by Bashing more than one offending aspect of Jefferson. You should concentrate your Bashing to one topic per thread. That way there will be more Basher threads and the level of Bashes will grow.

You have so much promise as a Basher. I am glad I'm on your side.

I'm not asking you to do anything. Piss and moan to you hearts content.

It's not gonna change anything if you accept it or not, but if someone gains something from the continally beating down of either JJ or JL OR both...knock yourself out.

The coaching staff names the starters, who plays when, and what plays are run and we can knock JJ/JL and later on Mett till the cows come home, but it will change nothing....so, why should I get all worked up bout something I have NO control over? If you want to, have at it.
