the extended cuts are far too much. Hell the original cuts could be cut down some, but they aren't bad movies

Depends on whether or not you read the books. I thought the extended scenes were cool. Thought the first was the best of the three. Maybe because it exceeded my expectations.

the colors, lighting, scale, and real sets are absolutely fantastic to watch. no other movie has ever made fantasy look so real
