Do you agree with ESPN on this one? - Cavs-Heat related.

They gave player grades for the game tonight and LeBron got a C. How can a player get a triple-double and get a C? The point guard with ONE assist got an A grade. IMO they are retarded for this!

Did you watch the game? He didn't look very good tonight for the most part.
Posted on 3/29/11 at 10:56 pm to lsu480
He went a long time without scoring. I would have given him maybe a B-, but not much higher.
Bosh had a good game.

I did not watch it so I am only going off of stats. He may not have had his A game tonight but goddamn...is he that good where he can get a triple double and still get a C? A C is AVERAGE..lol!

1. Bibby isn't on the court to get assists. He's there to hit 3s, and he did that.
2. Lebron had a great stat line, but didn't score for 1.5 quarters. That didn't help and was part of the reason they were in such a big hole.

Well yea, he is pretty good.
But really, LeBron didn't play that well tonight.

Well I was Bibbys PF on our AAU team from 7th-10th grade so he got used to having to pick up the slack then....

You do bring up a good point, even though I don't totally agreeing regarding this game.
Everyone is so accustomed to Lebron scoring near 30/7/7, that it is completely normal, and no one is ever surprised when he does it.
That alone is pretty amazing to me, people just take his production for granted, when it's truly some of the best numbers we've seen in the modern era for a perimeter player not named Michael Jordan.

And speaking of Bibby, these past 5 games or so, I have to think that is enough for him to take most of Chalmers' minutes.

I know....a fricking triple-double and he has people saying he played shitty and he gets a C. Its funny!

MJ only had 28 triple-doubles in his career, only 8 in the 90s, and LeBron gets a C.

He's definitely the only guy that can put up a triple double and get a grade of a C, lol.
Like I said, people take his production for granted and don't realize how good he really is.

LeBron went approximately 23:30 minutes without scoring, give or take a couple of seconds.
Bibby played very well shooting 7-11 from the field with all of those shots coming from 3-point range. That's a hella good night.
As for Bibby only getting 1 assist, you should know by now that James dominates the ball. Outside of a few fastbreak situations, LBJ was the first Heat player to touch the ball past halfcourt on pretty much every possession. Dude was wide open by at least 8-9 feet in the 4th for a 3 and straight clunked it. I mean he took his time to line up the shot and everything and it wasn't contested in the least bit and he straight clunked that shite.

Ok...Bibby deserved an A....but no way LeBron should get a C. I don't even know what the hell PER means but I bet his was off the charts this game.
Ya..and he also swished in a 3/4 court jumper.

See this is an example of why LBJ is overrated. He put up great numbers if you look at the statline, but if you watched the game you'd realize he was no way shape or form dominant.
Ask Shel. He lives for it.
Which only makes the fact that he couldn't hit a wide open 3 look that much worse.

He shouldn't have dribbled. He did it to get some rhythm, but I think it just threw off his rhythm even more.

There is zero proof to say otherwise, especially when there is a site that tracks 4th quarter scoring and clutch scoring over the past few seasons that completely disagree with you.
But I'm sure you'll think whatever you want, facts be damned lol.

I'm with you 480, a C is fair to average, and a triple double is not fair nor average.

I prefer the 1 shot sample. Lebron sucks because he missed an open 3, ZOMG
