Pakistan and India cricket matches are the biggest rivalry games in all of sports. Not many others have nuclear annihilation as a backdrop thankfully.

+1 Ha, very true.

The India-Pakistan games happen or don't happen based on the state of bilateral political relations between the two countries. If diplomatic relations are suspended for any reason (and it has happened a few times the past decade), the governments refuse to let the national teams play each other. So anytime they play each other, you can rest assured the pent up hatred the two countries have for each other is brought to bear out on the cricket field.

I remember the Indian and Pakistani students on campus at LSU used to play cricket matches on Parade grounds and the CEBA parking lot across from the credit union on Nicholson Dr. extension. Does that still happen?
