No one named Geraldo is the greatest anything, except maybe the greatest douche

He was pretty damn funny for a Harvard law school grad

I like him a ton as a comedian, but he's definitely not the greatest ever. And, not to cast stones, but anyone that OD's, leaving behind his family and kids, is not the greatest human, tortured soul or not. Like I said though, love him as a comedian.

I loved him as a comedian, and by all accounts was a pretty nice guy. I would stop short of saying the greatest comedian/human ever.
He admitted to being a person who lacked drive and discipline when it came to his responsibilities and work but he had enough talent to compensate for it for the most part. I think he went so far as to call himself an underachiever but, he definitely had comic chops, talent and intellect. I like his stuff
There was a thread a few days ago where a debate ensued about some of this if you can find it.

I love it how famous people that kill themselves are "tortured souls."

He was a great comedian and seemed like a nice and honest guy, but greatest? No

You're aware he's been dead for 6 months?
Just wondering what's spawning the Giraldo threads all of a sudden, 6 months later.

Response to another thread.
He was hilarious, but his shtick of being the world's best unknown comic wasn't far from the mark. He never rose above the radar.

The OP is being sarcastic. FYI.

I like him but I could think of 5 guys just from his "generation" that were better.
