for his apologist Bro's & Brah's?

Trent Johnson makes 1.5 Million per season before incentives. LINK

His SEC record is 5-27 the last 2 years.

Joe Alleva doesn't care. LINK

Coack K was hired as Duke's BB Coach in 1980. Joe Alleva was hired at Duke in 1998.

Joe Alleva was not involved with Duke Basketball.

He has next year to turn things around. What is so hard to understand about that?

completely different. he was doing it at duke. plus he's about to become the winningest coach ever which negates what he did at the beginning of his coaching career

He did but that has nothing to do with Trent Johnson. Just because Coach K turned it around doesn't mean every coach who has sucked will turn it around.

I understand that, but just because the last two seasons haven't gone like we want them too doesn't mean he can't turn it around. We can all agree that Coach K is a great coach, but his first few seasons weren't that great. Trent can turn it around, not saying he will.

exactly b/c everyone knew after his first three years at duke that he would become the coach he is now. that point is stupid

Really bad logic. Trent isn't on the same continent as Coach K. Only a handful are. Trent has had plenty of miserable seasons at all his stops and as soon as he "builds a good team" he bolts for the next stop.

Think about that for a bit. We are pathetic and we are a joke. LSU was bad when I was a freshman at LSU but were never a joke and were always respected and were always a tough out no matter how outmatched.

This is heinous!!!

Please tell me how firing our coach 2 seasons after winning the SEC is going to help our program at all. You can quote records all you want, but what do you honestly think is gonna happen if we fire our coach right now and bring in someone else?

Curious but look at the past 2 seasons. Look at the state of our program. Please justify keeping him.

LSU fired Brady 1 3/4 seasons after a Final 4. That's looking like a very Bad decision now.

However, there are Coaches available that can Coach Basketball. Trent Johnson was a terrible mistake, as was AD Joe Alleva.

LSU would have a chance to win again.

I won't justify keeping him, but I won't justify firing him yet either. I just don't see how firing him now helps this program in any way. What kind of coach would want to come to a school that is pretty bad in basketball over the last decade (minus 2006)? Can you not honestly see that firing TJ right now and hiring some coach from a small conference (b/c that is probably the only coach that would be willing to come here) would only set us back another 2 years or so?

losing to auburn should be enough to get a coach fired

Call me crazy, but I'm for giving him one more year. But I can't fault the majority of Baton Rouge wanting his arse gone. And in my opinion, we could definitely get a solid name coach. By solid, I mean more than just a sunbelt style coach.

why are people so much more prone to give the bastketball coach time? if it were a football coach, two years of 3-9 seasons and there would be a lynching. just curious.

I doubt it, who on earth would want to come here? It's not like LSU basketball has ever really been a true powerhouse. I just don't see which mid-major to low major coach would want to come to a program where you get 3 years to turn your program around and if not you're gone. And before anyone responds, don't kid yourself, TJ had to turn this program around
