Today is the first one, second one is the 26th. But don't expect big signings like in years past this season. The coaches only want 10 players locked up by the end of February. Slow playing some of the players they would have locked up in the past in hopes of picking up some big name OOS prospects.
The new DC (Manny Diaz) supposedly wants to go into SEC territory, I don't see that working out, but whatever. He's from the SEC so maybe he's built some in-roads?

Diaz won't be too welcome in Mississippi that's for sure 
Personally I don't see why you would stop what you've been doing. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
While Texas is a national powerhouse (well not last year at least) they really haven't done much OOS recruiting. With that said, this would be a year that you wouldn't change your recruiting after what happened during the season.

I agree, but as I'm not a big money donor they aren't likely to listen to my opinion. Texas produces enough talent that we should be able to recruit 98% of what we need within the state.

He accepted the job with the Titans, and yes he did just accept a job with Texas. Probably would have lost 1 or 2 of their secondary recruits had they not signed him

Texas could recruit exclusively in state and do fine.
