Agreed. Ford, who is around 205 lbs, is reputedly the strongest guy pound for pound on the team, with a bench press in the 450# range last summer. In Football, tendon strength is one of those attributes that is looked for but not necessarily tracked statistically. The old term "country strong" alludes as much to toughness and attitude as the ability to manhandle someone. A guy like Lavalais, Williams or Dorsey may not be bench-pressing 500 lbs, yet they're able to have their way on the interior. The right combination of strength , agility, leverage, explosiveness and attitude is what creates the beast. Watch Freak Johnson and this is what you'll see.

Disagree. I'd say a 6'4" 320-lb OG that benches 405 is stronger on the field than a 5'11" 195-lb SS that benches 435. All that size and momentum means more than your bench max when you actually collide on the field.
