Boondock Saints II

I liked the first one. Yes, I thought Dafoe was way over the top and the ridiculous bit with him in drag was nonsense, but overall, I liked the movie.
OMG! I had to stop watching II. I got about 25 minutes in and my eyes and ears were bleeding.
The acting was elementary school play levels of bad. Why for the love of all holy was Julie Benz going with a southern accent. Even Tom Cruise and Kevin Costner would mock her for her terrible attempt at a southern accent.
What in god's name happened to Judd Nelson? Was he trying to channel Nick Cage at his peak suckiest?
The direction was just as bad as was the soundtrack.
I don't often stop and give up on a movie, especially when I really liked the first one, but this was simply too painful.
I feared my bowels would implode and I am not sure but I think my spleen did make an attempt to burst forth from my colon.
What a piece of crap.
Shame on those that actually like this horrific pile of pig excrement.

I loved the first one, and after reading the reviews of 2, refrained from watching it so as not to tarnish the memory of the original.

I did the same but I was bored and I couldn't find anything to watch on netflix streaming so I decided to give it a try.
There were plenty of people that hated the first one so I convinced myself the bad reviews must have been from people that hated the first one.

I knew it was going to be bad going into it so I decided to convince myself it was a spoof kinda like Spaceballs. If you go into it with this mindset it's fvcking hysterical.

I totally agree. Part 2 was absolutely horrible.
Through it all, I actually toughed out the whole movie and just continued to marvel at the momentous masterpiece of utter sucktitude that was playing out before my eyes.
ETA: It is well documented here that I'm a huge fan of awesomely bad. This wasn't awesomely bad. This was horrifically horrible.

I went and watched it at the theater. It was ghastly. I enjoyed it despite the accent, but I went in strictly to be entertained.

Are you asking or telling? I thought it was a solid flick. It's in my top 15. It was basically Batman and Robin without the masks, which made it a little absurd at times, but still an enjoyable watch.
