He also passes the laugh test. When you watch him play, you can SEE why his stats are great. In his case, the stats and the scouting supplement each other.

Another over rated thing is the "clutch" plays. You can only engineer a game winning drive if your team was behind. Sometimes that only necessary because you didn't play well earlier.

Lots of people keep going on about what a great pass Ben made on that 3rd down to end the game basically. It was good play, but wasn't necessary because he made bad plays earlier? If he doesn't fumble a snap in the end zone giving up a safety and forcing the defense back on the field right after a long drive, maybe he doesn't need to make that 3rd down pass
