Chances DWest is not a Hornet next year?

Just curious, with his contract expiring after this season, what do yall think are the chances that West does not stay in New Orleans?

I think he will talk to Paul and if they believe they will be able to do some postseason damage together than he will stay. Hornets will be able to match any other teams offer so it will be up to him and could tell us signs of what Paul does.

It's going to be interesting to see how this plays out for a few reasons:
-Like someone said above, he's going to talk to Paul after the season about his future and the future of the team, and if West re-signs, it's a good sign that Paul plans on staying. I don't see him leaving if Paul is willing to stay around. If Paul is undecided and West does leave, that all but gurantees that Paul is gone.
-This is going to be his last big contract, and for most players that usually means they have to decide if they want to cash in big no matter the team, or if they want to join a team in contention.
Luckily for us, most of the teams that are title contenders already are set at PF. The one team that I could see making things difficult is the Lakers. They could decide to give up on Bynum and move Gasol to C full time and go after West.
If he's looking for a big pay day, we could be out of luck there. I think we will offer him a fair contract, but there's always a team willing to over pay, especially for a player like West.

Given the current ownership situation and the pending CBA issues, I doubt anyone could accurately predict what Paul or West are going to do right now.

No Chance if they stay in New Orleans but we need to pull some huge signings to keep CP3

West is probably going to demand superstar money. I'm thinking about $10-$12 million a year.

50% chance West leaves next year...all pending on Paul's decision and the direction the franchise is headed. Good draft picks and a key free-agent acquisition good lock 'em both up in NOLA for awhile.

I agree that he and Paul would genuinely like top stay together. The ownership situation and the CBA makes things tough to predict. ASSUMING LOCAL OWNERSHIP comes through (and I think it will), I believe there is better than a 50% chance that both Paul and West stay. I wouldn't have said so last year, but I believe it to be the case now.

I think $10-11 million is fair to him for a 3-4 year deal.

There is no LeBron but we could make a move on Melo if he terminates his contract which he probably will, Tayshaun Price , Andrei Kirilenko, and there alot more bench players we could add
