Regardless of sponsorships, car salesmen are down the totem-pole in the court of public opinion to many folks in the first place, in terms of ethics. Toss in the wacky sense of humored and/or selling selves as very friendly people-oriented in car dealership commercials that fill the airwaves..

Wreaks of hypocrisy in firing a guy for wearing a simple tie..hell..it could be alibi'ed as a simple wager lost..

There is no solid alibi for GM Jerry's actions..none..even the Halas family would chuckle at the tie.

If Stone, were a questionable salesman, already on the bubble, that's one thing. But, if he was a solid guy, getting canned for "insubordination" over his right to wear an ugly tie, is not gonna fly.

Do you know what the difference is in a car salesman and a real estate agent?
