There definitely seems to be an emphasis on getting someone good with QB's, but I'm not seeing anything saying it was done so at the expense of offensive coordination.

If anything it was probably another way of Miles saying he doesn't want a Crowton-like OC that has a million plays and tries to do much. Just someone fundamental that can help our QB's.

Considering Miles won't outright fire people, do you really think he will let a coach go that he thinks is performing fine to make room for another one? I doubt it.

I think you're exactly right NOSA. I think Kragthorpe will end up being a good hire. I just read the article and it got me thinking and I couldn't remember the last time LSU had a guy who's sole job was to coach QB's. There hasn't been a competent QB coach since Jimbo. That's really where the whole thing came from -- why doesn't LSU just hire someone to solely coach the most important position on the field? It wasn't meant as an indictment against Krags.
