All glaciers are from Glacier Bay. Most of the other pictures are Ketchikan area. Maybe a little Sitka too

Took the kids sledding up at the ski area today, and made a couple ski runs myself. They haven't opened yet, but have a good enough base to do so. Really nice up there today, it was about 27 degrees, calm. Supposed to get a foot of snow tonight on Douglas Island. Lots of folks hiking up, skiing down. Nothing is groomed

It's gorgeous today. We got a foot and a half of snow dumped on us last night, and expecting another foot or more tonight, winter storm warming. . Mountains and the trees are incredibly beautiful with that much snow.

American Bitterns are damn tough to spot in the marsh unless you are lucky and see one fly in.

This one is easier than a Bittern but still takes a little looking:
And this one is not hard to spot at all:
And the Herons are starting breeding season.

Some great photos in this thread. Thought I'd throw a few out there, all from the Smoky Mountains (one of my absolute favorite places in the world).

Those are some sexy broken links on my screen, does the board not like links from flickr?
And Image Shack to the rescue!

Sometimes I have to repost from imageshack, they don't show up the first couple of times. Not sure why.
