I don't blame Crowton as an OC. We should have a QB coach as well though. Never combine them. The playcalling was 100% hindered by Jefferson. When we had Flynn and even Hatch, the playcalling was there. Nobody calls a perfect game ever but you can't do much without Jefferson without at least 3 weeks to prepare. Ive seen it with my eyes and heard it from the players. There are many plays practiced that never get called. It's because of the confidence in the guy who executes the plays. You saw it this year with Lee. Minus a few times where we wanted to establish a running game, when he played, it was a different system. If you can't coach a player to your system, you ate forced to dumb it down to their level. Jeffersons level is really low.

I actually thought to give GC 1 more year with an accurate QB...I just dont think Jefferson has the confidence or the skill to take us to the next level..yeah he can run but hes not very accurate and not a qb that can lead a team from wins and comebacks.

Ex on the tennesee debacle when he went after the ball.....he could have atleast attpempted to grab it instead of laying on it...laying on it and its game over.

Basically agreed.

Since most of the better OCs are great developers of QBs, I have to disagree. Mark Richt, Jimbo Fisher, David Cutcliffe, Bobby Petrino, Gus Malzahn come to mind.

Who do you blame for:
1) running the option when Lee was in the game?
2) substituting on the goalline in the Tenn game?
3) low ranked offenses: 86th in 2010, 112th in 2009, 55th in 2008?
4) lack of development on any of our QBs? especially when he's the QB coach.

Again, running the read option with Lee in the game is NOT running a different system.
