This entire Michigan fiasco hasn't changed my opinion of Miles one iota.

Miles is a good coach, but not an elite one.

He is an exceptional recruiter.

He is a below average tactician.

His teams typically commit too many turnovers, too many penalties, and occassionally make awful blunnders (Ole Miss, Tennessee, Arkansas).

LSU under Miles plays down to its competition.

He's won a single SEC title in six years.

I'm really ambivalent about his return.

About sums up my position on the matter as well. He could go along way in winning me over by firing Crowton and later this year stating the QB job is open to whoever steps up in the spring.

Till then, meh

+100000000000

I'm glad he's staying, but only because there is currently noone else available. Would love to get Mullen, but that's not happening. Les(s) HAS to get rid of GC though!!! ESPECIALLY since we got Mett! Zach needs to learn a new system this year, and therefore, dominate in 2012 and 2013. The only argument would be that JJ shouldn't have to learn a new system for next year, but, let's face it, he barely knows Crowton's system now!!! So, who cares about JJ! It is all about Mett from this day forward! GET RID OF CROWTON!!!

Some people will never be satisfied. Miles is a great coach in a great conference. The players love him, the games are NEVER boring, and we beat quality opponents every year. It's like complaining that your supermodel wife snores too loud...

I remember the Dinardo/Halman days even if some people don't. Let's not ruin a good program and run off a good coach similiar to Nebraska a few years ago.

His win/loss records show him to be elite.

He designed gameplan to hide the weakness of our quarterbacks and was able to win 11 games show him to be a great tactician.

It happens to the best of them.

Sure didn't look like it against Texas A&M.

True...bu his teams are always in contention to win the West division of the toughest conference in America. And of course, he won a BCS national Championship.

Sorry to hear that. I have a feeling 2011 he will make you proud that he is the head coach of LSU.
