question about assistant coaches contracts?

I know many of our asst. coaches have contracts for 2-3 yrs guarantee. Does anyone know if they are null if the head coach leaves but is not fired?

Good question. I think most of the time these are negotiated out and probably contain a clause that includes the head guy staying.

It becomes a tough situation because on the one hand you have guys you want to keep, but you also owe it to a new coach to pick his own staff. If the contracts are still valid if Les leaves, It gives Alleva something to work with. I just don't see many of our assistants wanting to go to AA.
