Its been a while since I've been on this, so if the topic has been exhausted since Mettenberger arrived in December, my apologies.

I hope J. Lee stays for his final year of eligibility as a backup QB. With J.J.'s scrambling abilty and size, does he become a tall fullback or the hands to be a Tight End? He could have a lot of fun next year and be well appreciated for an extra dimension he can add to help bring us another National Championship.

He's tall enough so Mett won't lose him on the sidelines while he's using those hands to give signals.

Mr. Jefferson will be the starting quarterback next season. Mett will be third on the depth chart behind Jarrett Lee.

Sorry to burst your bubble.

I agree that the job is Jefferson's to lose this spring.

You are kidding, right???

J.J. will never get rid of his natural instinct to telegraph the play.

He palyed well. But it was one of his best games!

52% completion 3 Td's 1 Int. 158 yds.
Should be a starting SEC QB's Bad days.

IMO

If I were JJ I would ask Miles to switch me to tight end, because that is his only chance to make it in the NFL.

This here is some high quality H2O. He should be the water boy IMO.

IF I had to bet ... today... I'd say he's the strating QB... not because he's so great.... but because he has the tools to get it done... and did so last night to prove it.

Mettenberger and J. Lee will both get a shot in the spring... but if there is a chart going in JJ is on top.... and I don't see him losing the job before August.

So -- if he's the best QB he's the starter... if the others beat him out... he's a backup. either way... LSU gets the best QB on the field.

Despite all the J. Lee "fandom" mid-season... Miles played JJ for a reason... and that reason is NOT because Miles is stupid... it's because he was the better QB... but he was struggling at times and fortunately... during some of those times J Lee stepped up.... but he was not the overall better choice.
