1) he was on the sideline not in the booth
2) every time they showed him on the sideline he wasn't even holding a playcall sheet
Face it last nights game was called by some mixture of Miles & Crowton.

You can call plays from the sideline, also Billy was wearing a QB wristband with plays and I've never seen him talking to JJ as much as he did last night.......play calling made way too much since to have been GC IMO

Did he even have a headset on? Didn't look like it to me.

yes he had one, it was on his shoulder when they showed him talking to the players. he also had a wristband on w/ plays, not sure if he usually does or not.

Whatever went on last night worked, so I hope they continue to do that next season.

and he had the yellow hat on, which I assume was so that JJ could find him from the field

Well it did look like he more involved than in times past. This is a good sign.
Whether or not he was "calling the plays" we will likely not know for some time, if ever. How much input he had into the gameplan we also will likley not know. Admitttedly, the success of the running game made the playcalling look much better.

Sean Payton is always in the booth on game day right?! Pitiful argument.
Even if BG only called for a half it's still a big statement on where next year's O is headed.

quote:i never really paid attention. is it possible you just noticed it b/c you were paying more attention to him due to the rumor of him OC the game?
but have you ever seen him do that as much as he did last night?
