Are we still taking him? If he comes as a greyshirt this year I'm all for it. That way he will have to prove that he can stay out of trouble and clean up his act. As far as a football player, his ceiling is as high as any recruit left on our board. Kids pretty impressive.

I expect him to be at some point. I really think/hope he will come in on a track Scholarship next year. The staff will watch him(gives them time to see if he keeps his nose clean--off field issues, here), and if he impresses with behavior, he can W/O to the team, and his scholarship will then switch to Football. Now there are restrictions that go with that plan of action, but I think its doable. If, however we miss on all our targets, I could also see him getting in this year on schollie. I'm sure the coaches have a plan, but you can't pass on in-state athlete's like him IMO, esp. with so few lb prospects in-state(which is where I think he projects in a few years).

He made a 3.0 last semester at Benton high school Definitely proving to everyone that he was a target for whatever reason. Working hard at the gym. He is being recruited by numerous Division 1 schools.

I doubt he would take a grey shirt offer, unless he is just really set on LSU.

If LSU passes there are other D1 coaches who definitely would want him.

I would expect Dooley at TN has talked to him.
