Tv doesnt advertise Lsu as much as USC OSU or Miami. i dont know if thats the schools fault or we just dont advetised on commercials but i always see commeercials advertising other schools and not ours.. might just be me

WSJ can go frick itself. Due limited reading time normally taken by a number of professional journals, I quit reading it some time ago ..... and beat the market quite well without it.

Learned that one a long time ago myself.

Really, though - It is a great paper for market and business news; but of all the people that I know that subscribe (myself included), I don't know anyone that does so for market advice or tips.

Yep, that's one of the reasons we got snubbed and put in a mid level crappy bowl instead of the good CapOne Bowl, we look like asses.

What are you talking about, OP? This bowl games is drawing more attention than BCSNCG. The ticket prices have sky rocketed and the number of people that will be watching the game will sky rocket as well. And LSU sells more bowl tickets than anyone and draws a bigger crowd than anyone else in the country. Why do you think that bowls are so thrilled about having us? Or why do you think that Omaha is so excited when we are in town?

Does it have anything to do with the face that there are other games being played at the same time like the 3 new years day bowls?

Me too, I live in San Francisco and at the Old Navy Headquarters Store (huge 3 story dept store), they sell Cal, Stanford, USC, tOSU and LSU gear.

I'm not surprised. LSU doesnt have a historical presence on the national scene like USC, Notre Dame, Bama etc. A lot of older fans watch still Notre Dame just out of habit as much as anything else, since thats who they grew up watching.
LSU has had some matchups against these high profile teams--Miami, OSU, ND, Texas which probably did very well in ratings, but the recent bowls against Iowa, GaTech (twice), Illinois probably weigh down the ratings.

just a thought, but most people will go somewhere or have people over to watch the game, which will lower the tv audience, because the game is being watched on fewer tvs. I know this happens everywhere, but i feel like it happens on a larger scale in the south.
