it was a solid flick. wasn't exactly my favorite movie ever, but it was good. natalie portman is well deserving of any awards she wins and is nominated for, for this movie. she was great.
as others have said, you are left trying to figure out what was reality and what were hallucinations at the end.
and yes, a family from Houma helped to produce the movie. they weren't the sole producers, but were major contributing factors. i know them somewhat well. they are now producing a movie with Daniel Radcliff and another movie (Ides of March) with George Clooney.

I saw it last night and thought it was very cool. It did a good job of being mysterious and suspenseful by using a lot of close-up shots and dark angles to confuse and build tension. I too thought Portman did a good job, not sure how old she was supposed to be in her pink room, maybe 19,20 at oldest but damn she was skinny.
