Going up there for the Garth Brooks concert tomorrow night. Any suggestions on where to eat? I would prefer somewhere downtown and a "man vs food" type establishment.

I am not wasting a lot of money on this girl.

TIA

Rippy's has ok food and its right on lower broad. Not the best quality but you can't beat the location.

I'll add Pancake Pantry for breakfast. Might have a line, but to me it's worth it. Cinnamon syrup was clutch.

Reminded me of the Chimes (atmosphere wise only). Felt like I went to Vandy when I was there.

If you are there for Lunch during the weekday, dont miss out on Arnold's Country Kitchen.

Arnold's Country Kitchen

The locals call this type of place a 'Meat & Three'!

AMEN! The Chest Pie (Chess Pie) was voted #1 by Southern Living Magazine. I personally love the... well... everything! Fried Green Tomatoes, Roast Beef Au Jus, Mashed Potatoes, Mac-n-Cheese, da Greens, ho cakes, corn pudding, Country Ham, Fried Catfish, Chocolate Pie, CrabCakes, Sauteed Mushrooms, etc.... Its all good!
