I got the same reply to an email I sent. Short and to the point with no explanation as to what changed or if this was the case the whole time.

There were a few members of the band that had confirmed they were not doing a full pregame last week. Did the cotton bowl start the rumor?

Actually, I confirmed this weekend that the Cotton Bowl was indeed not going to let the LSU band do their traditional PreGame.
They (the Cotton Bowl) changed their minds Friday and sent out a revised Pregame schedule to both schools.

The below is more likely, as was stated by a current band member.
The whole band is going.
Tiger band has not been informed of this, so dont believe it. What could have been meant was the full pregame. We dont do full pregame at bowl games.
I dont see this happening cause all other games held at the Cotton bowl, both schools have done their pregame.

Naw...Neither Oklahoma State or Ole Miss did Pregame last year.
Regardless, I'm glad Cotton Bowl is going to let the bands do Pregame this year. I love Pregame...sometimes more than the game itself, lol.

They just keep saying that LSU will be performing for pregame ceremonies...NOT that LSU will be performing its traditional pregame.
So don't be disappointed when Tiger Band walks out there just to play the National Anthem with A&M.
