I didn't realize how much we were owned by Nebraska in the big bowls.

If you break that down, we sucked up until 1950 (1-3-1 record), then came on pretty good in the 50s/60s (7-3 record), sucked again in the 70s/80s (3-10 record), and then killed it since (10-3 record)!

The Nebraska game int he Sugar Bowl was dreadful. They started that Go Big Red cheer early and never shut up. You really wanted to punch someone when you left the game.

I attended the two Sugar Bowl rapings administered by Nebraska when I was a student.
Good times.

I went to the 1996 Peach Bowl in Atlanta against Clemson. LSU won, 10-7, in what was possibly the DULLEST football game I've ever had the misfortune to witness. My buddy and I were literally nudging each other to stay awake.

I've been to several, including the last 2 BCSNC games we played in tghe Sugar Bowl. The first of those was my favorite because of what it meant. My favorite game ignoring the importance of the game was the come from behind win over Ga Tech in the Peach. Rohan and Reed refused to let us lose that game in the 2nd half.

What's swesome is that LSU took advantage of both their BCS NC opportunities.

Have we ever lost a national championship game in any major sport? I know we haven't done well in the Final 4, but I don't think we've actually made the championship game. I think we have won every World Series championship game we've been in.
Maybe I just don't remember the losses.

That's my favorite non-BCS bowl.
The only bowl I've been to was the 2001 Sugar, and I was so drunk I don't remember a single thing about the game and I've never seen a replay.

it was a lot tougher to get to a bowl pre 1990, so when you made it you didnt play any patsy and usually both teams WANTED to be in game so alot tougher to have success before then....

I have been to both National Championship games, Sugar Bowl smashing of Illinois, Orange Bowl loss to Nebraska and Shreveport drubbing of Mich St. All were a blast, but nothing like watching the Crystal Ball being hoisted with all the confetti on the Superdome floor.......

Only attended one bowl, 1978 Liberty as a member of T-band.
