It would have been great if the Ags would have joined the SEC. It would have made Houston more of an SEC place and helped LSU even more in recruiting. Texas A&M would have been a tremendous addition to the SEC but I think that the Ags never had any intention to join the SEC.... the whole discussion was more a bargaining chip for the Ags to improve their pie slice in the Big 12.

meh ... it helped having offers from other conferences, but Aggies legitimately like the SEC. Our University's President got along very well with Mike Slive. I don't think this story line is finished yet.

I like this and the idea of it becoming a UT-OU type rivalry. Maybe its not always a home and home deal and we play that dog in Reliant Stadium...call it the "Sabine River Rivalry"....
