Yep, nothing wrong with it at all. Just saying that the Conquest is also a really good buy right now. Zeiss has some good deals on binoculars right now too...

Not sure. I got it as a christmas gift when I was in high school. Back then I believe it went for around 500 or so? Not positive...

I have not been able to beat their price or selection. I have been using them for 2-3 years on 5 or 6 scopes and 1 pair of binos.

Any extra money you can afford to spend on optics is always worth it in my opinion. I have never gone cheap when it comes to optics. On the other hand, I am a Leupold man through and through.

Yes, if you don't have enough, save up and get one you won't have to upgrade in a year or two. You won't regret it.

i bought a t/c encore .270 a couple years ago and was stuck between the zeiss and the vx3...went with the 3.5x10x50 vx3 and i couldnt be happier...there is at least 200 bucks between the two and the zeiss isnt much better imo

I own and approve of the following scopes in this order:

Swarovski z5
Zeiss conquest
Nikon Monarch

For the money, the Nikon Monarch is the best buy. I made a 330 yard shot two years ago and it put me right on. Swarovski is my favorite choice if you have some extra cash.

Leupold has never worked for me (I have a problem seeing through them for some reason). However, many owners of leupolds tend to be very loyal to them, so take a look before you buy something else.

I recommend the Nikon Monarch.

Great rifle by the way!!!

It will be important to pick the right ammo as well!!!

Do NOT buy the Winchester Ballistic Silvertips!! That is the most available bullet at the stores and there is a reason for that!
Get any ammo that shoots the accubonds. Federal makes a good bullet with accubond. Nosler Custom too. Black Hills Gold is my favorite. But, they discontinued......so I bought 700 off their shelf.
Ammo in 270 WSM is an important choice. Good luck!!

p.s. - If Browning made a left handed version of the x-bolt, I would buy one tomorrow.

I'm sure you will have a very merry christmas!!!
