I had such high hopes for this season and had my sights set on a trip to New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl, and was so down after the Ar-Kansas loss like everyone else. I went to work that Monday and met a customers family member who gave me a card for her sick grandson. That afternoon I viewed the site and to say it put things in perspective is an understatement. Please follow the link and read what EB is and how incredible the Roth family is.

There is a fundraiser for this precious little man named Tripp, called the Christmas Trot for Tripp in Hammond on December 11. Please follow facebook link if you're interested.

Typically don't like stuff like this at a place where I unwind but that is just heartbreaking

I've seen a lot of sad stories, but this one is truly heart-rending. My heart goes out to Tripp and his mom and dad. Hang in there, people.

Truly sad story but look, we come here TO think about LSU football so forgive me for saying it's misplaced on the rant imo.

That said, heartfelt prayers sent to lil Trip.

This morning he was up at 5:00 am (which NEVER happens). And he was in rare form- dancing, smiling, and fussing (in a good, rotten kind-of-way). He was flipping all the way over when I was changing his diaper, which he never does. Usually, I would put him back in bed and he would go back to sleep... but we stayed up. And man, I enjoyed that time SO much. I felt like he was a "normal" kid in that few hours- up early, happy, playing. Because lately, I've been having to literally drag him out of bed at 2-3 o'clock in the afternoon because all he wants to do is sleep. I guess he doesn't hurt when he is sleeping. I feel like he has no quality of life. And mornings like this morning are few and far between- but boy am I thankful when I do get them. It makes me take a step back from the step I already took back and be thankful for the GOOD. Because there is always GOOD no matter what.

This breaks my heart. My life question to "God and or Goddess", if there is one or both, is why do the young innocents of this world suffer when truly evil fricks prosper?

Sad....but the VAST majority on this site are not confusing LSU football with extreme cases of human suffering and therefore need "perspective".

Karma. Evil fricks are the next life's prison bottoms. That's why Bill Gates gives so much money away.

Wow - tough. Courtney (Tripp's Mom) is awesome - in that regard he's a very lucky little boy, dearly loved.

Wow, makes me appreciate that the fact that my two boys are healthy 2 and 3 year olds. It really is sad that this happens to innocent children.

nobody is innocent folks ! romans 3:23 fortunately and thankfully, this kiddo hasn't reached the age of accountability, so he gets a 'free pass' to heaven if his folks go thru something horrific like losing him now !!!

I agree. Thoughts are with that family.

However, it shouldn't take something like that to make you realize that football is only a game.

Some of you take it way too seriously.

That's why you are so easy to screw with.
